Hallo bulli fanatics!

Now i have to make engine brackets.
I'm searching for pics of such adaptation. Does anyone else have done the job here???
I've found this in germany:
http://kuehnel-concepts.de/index.php?op ... &Itemid=53
I've send us an email to see the brackets on the engine in the bus, but he doesn't answer me. Perhaps, it's because of my bad english. :tl

Thanks, but i've found the engine brackets on kuehnel website. I've email him to see pics of his brackets inside a bus (a customer bus or his bus...). He doesn't answer me.
No one to tell me: "yes, i've ever seen this in Germany" ???
Does my topic is boring?
:-?

Your topic isn't boring. But a Pumpe-Düse modification is very rare. Many people say that the gearbox can't handle the torque of the engine. So they just put other engines in their busses. 110Ps AFN TDi for example...

But the time of Pumpe-Düse modifications will come, just because good AFN engines are getting rarer and rarer, especially with less kilometers...

Hallo Domi,
You're right. It's exactly why i choose a TDI p.d. The milleage of my engine is only 6050 Km, while the milleage of the AFN i found was over 200 000 Km.
For the gearbox there is solutions. Mine is to modify a 4 gears from aircooled with good rings from USA.
I'm just surprised that a German specialist doesn't answer me. Especially if there isn't a load of requests for such modification.
Nevertheless, i thank you for your help.
Greets from France.
Stéphane.

Hello Stephane !

maybe the reason the specialist doesn't answer is that you sent the request by e-mail. A lot of very good specialists over here are "scared" by writing/reading e-mails, especially when they come from abroad ...they prefer using a spanner or a hammer instead of that "modern" computer things ... also, it might happen, that an e-mail with a foreign adress goes straight through into the spam folder , so maybe he doesn't even receive it . Maybe you should try and call them, maybe they speak english or even french ?

Hello Mr J,
Thank you for the possible explanations. :bet
So, would you try for me to ask him for pics of his brackets on the engine? :bier

Moin,
Yesterday i've take my phone and call Mr René K for the engine brackets matter.
My oral English is very bad  , but i think he had understand my request. He had asked me to send him pics of my engine and "motortrager" to see if his custom brackets can fit with my engine (code BLT) and motortrager of my bus (4 gears 1982).
Now i'm waiting for his answer.
The matter come from the turbo side, the right side is easyest to do, i've done it.
If you want me to send pics don't hesitate. ;-)
Greets.
Stephane.

It comes from a passat TDI 130hp bigger than the original one in the seat FR TDI 130.
air to air ?Yes Behind the bumper ? yes, behind the rear light, i've cut the metal where was the original air filter to let the air come throught the aircooler? Exactly under the place of your water/Air cooler. Nice job Paul! :bet

Hallo Bulli fanatics,
After 3 years without any trouble with my engine gearbox swap i've sold my bus (since 1 week now). I'm getting older and my family is growing up.
I'm looking for a more confortable ride for my family with air condition and 3 points belts on the rear seats.
So, i'm searching for a T4 california 102hp after 2000, ideally a Freestyle green (fresco) to remind me my former Green bus.
If you heard something for sale wich match with my search don't miss to let me know about it. My email: stpg@msn.com
Greets and good holidays with your bus.
Stéphane.
