2008 T5 Seikel tempomat does not work in 6th gear

Hello, sorry for non writing in German I'm from France. I've already posted on this forum but in the T3 section since I have 2 T3 Syncro 16".

Now I've just got a 2008 T5 Multivan Panamericana Seikel with rear diff lock, shorter gearbox ratios, "Desert" Seikel suspension and some chassis protecting plates. Engine code BPC.

When I came home yesterday I've tried to have the cruise control functionning in 6th gear on the highway but no luck, it does not work. I know some T5 Seikel users have the same problem. The cruise control is working in 4th and 5th gear but is non functionnal in 6th gear.

I send an e-mail to Seikel and no luck either. They said they are aware of this problem but there is no update to solve this problem as far as they know.

It's an electronic issue that could probably be solved by engine ECU tuning.

Anybody there succeed to solve this issue ?

But no solution at all, the "Seikel-Tempomat" seems to work, but the factory one only sometimes.
When comparing the engine and transmission speeds, there is a discrepancy that causes the cruise control to switch off. Someone said, it could be corrected by software optimization.

Hi, thanks for the link. Unfortunately not very useful. Since this problem exists for years, I still don't understand why Seikel didn't solve the issue. Tempomat is very important for me and for some others of course. I will try with a T5 software specialist somewhere in France but I'm not sure he could succeed. I'd have to let the van to his place for at least a week or so. I'll let you know whether the tempomat will work or not.
